The caped crusader

So, I’m writing this post basically just so I can indulge myself and have an actual purpose to my relentless online window shopping. It would seem, I am becoming *slightly* obsessed with any garment with a cape at the moment; I am aching for it to be autumn again just so I can wear this lovely lot. That is very unlike me I must say, I am usually a summer or nothing type girl – freezing in November because I refuse to give into the layers of clothing one is meant to wear in the colder months – but not this year. This year I find myself wishing for layers, knits, boots and all things autumn, maybe because I am getting older and appreciate the seasons a little more? Who knows. But what I do know is that you won’t regret buying any of the below as it is all gorgeous and you are all superheros in my eyes, so why not wear a cape? I do hope you have noticed by the way, in all of my wish list posts I do try and keep the items as cost effective as possible – more money for prosecco/mac/uber – life’s all about balance after all, right? The BFG at Cinema City

Matilda. The Twits. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The BFG. What do all of these have in common? They are written by Roald Dahl and I bloody love them. So when Cinema City in the beautiful Norwich offered me tickets to a screening of The BFG, there was only ever going to be one answer!  Continue reading

Things to do before I die…

About a month ago, I was in Norwich with my best friend Lauren and we saw a shop she really liked and so as not to forget about it, she grabbed out her phone and typed the name of it in a ‘note’ (ironically I don’t remember which shop). I know, cool story bro, but let me finish. After she typed this note, she glanced at a list of other notes in her phone and came across her bucket list. Excitedly, she told me that she composed this list about a year ago and had totally forgotten about it. I, fascinated, made her read me the entire list and as it was made a year ago, there were inevitably things which she had achieved and could delete (or metephorically cross off). Some small things, some major life events – I felt really proud as she deleted things from her list and she looked so accomplished and content.  Continue reading

Berrys and grey

Berrys and Grey, Royal Arcade, Norwich. One of those places where you can feel inferior and inspired all at the same time, your head being filled with ideas about how you can jazz up your home and sad at the fact it will never look half as beautiful as this shop does!

I have seen this little gem all over Insta and Twitter for a good while now and I finally had the time to visit a couple of weeks ago and O.M.G. First of all it is a bloggers heaven, filled with white, rose gold, copper, texture, trends and anything else you would wish for the perfect blogger-worthy home. Even the setting in which this shop finds itself is amazing, if you’ve never been to the Royal Arcade in Norwich’s city centre you should take a little visit, it’s a beauty.  Continue reading

Daisy, daisy

Good evening! I do hope all you lovely readers are ok, are you surviving the eternal winter better than I am? If you are reading this and you don’t live in the UK, you might not be aware we haven’t had a fully sunny day since Spice Girls had their last number one. Or at least that is what it feels like *ghosty crying face emoji*.  Continue reading

My favourite brunch spot in Bungay

So i’m writing this on a Sunday morning whilst watching Legally Blonde 2 – I literally only watched the first one a week ago, despite it being released in 2001, oops. Why didn’t anyone ever tell me how fabulous they were, it is making me feel like a 15 year old again and reminding me I really need to colour my hair and wear more pink.
So I really wanted to write this post for those local to myself on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and also for those who are planning to visit. I have been visiting The Earsham Street Cafe in Bungay for over a year now and it has never failed to be delicious.  Continue reading

On screen fashion: A list of the best

Do you ever watch something, say a film or a tv series, and the fashion is so good and the women look so glam you question what you’re doing with your life and why don’t you look like that? I love this feeling, there is nothing I like better than a bit of fashion porn. So I have put together a list of my favourite ever films/tv programmes that make me want to go out shopping right now and book myself into every salon in the local area for various stages of a makeover.
