So, I’m writing this post basically just so I can indulge myself and have an actual purpose to my relentless online window shopping. It would seem, I am becoming *slightly* obsessed with any garment with a cape at the moment; I am aching for it to be autumn again just so I can wear this lovely lot. That is very unlike me I must say, I am usually a summer or nothing type girl – freezing in November because I refuse to give into the layers of clothing one is meant to wear in the colder months – but not this year. This year I find myself wishing for layers, knits, boots and all things autumn, maybe because I am getting older and appreciate the seasons a little more? Who knows. But what I do know is that you won’t regret buying any of the below as it is all gorgeous and you are all superheros in my eyes, so why not wear a cape? I do hope you have noticed by the way, in all of my wish list posts I do try and keep the items as cost effective as possible – more money for prosecco/mac/uber – life’s all about balance after all, right?
This boohoo jacket is number one this autumn on my cape wish list. I am often guilty of lusting after more work clothes than off duty clothing but then we are at work most of the time so why not look good? This comes in cream and black also but i’m all about the camel. I find that like a lot of other 9-5er’s I can be so boring in my workwear choices so I am excited to mix things up.
Isn’t this just the most gorgeous wedding look you have ever seen? Whether it be bridesmaids or guest, I cannot see how people could resist. I know if I was engaged (cough cough Daniel if you’re reading this) I would snap these dresses up immediately. It also comes in a gorgeous soft blue which is equally as lovely. Just on a side note, how stunning is this Boohoo model? #GirlCrush, anyone know who she is?
I knowwww, it is very similar to the dress above, but at the same time it is different. I feel this dress would be less wedding and more night out? With the thigh split and studio 54 feeling oversized cape I could see this dress gracing many a dance floor.
I’ve only just got into jumpsuits, but I am a total convert. I bought one from H&M last christmas for my work’s party and every occasion since I have wanted a new one! It is so liberating being on a night out, not wearing a dress but still looking glam and fancy! As a rather vertically challenged woman (5ft 2″) I think they make my legs look longer and I feel slimmer whilst wearing them too. Now mix this new obsession with a cape and I’m all over it. I WILL be buying this Lavish Alice number!
Oh.Em.Gee. This cape though. This is no exaggeration when I say this might be the nicest garment I have ever clapped eyes on. The colour, the cape, the buttons, the timelessness. Just look at it, I don’t need to write anything else. Apart from if someone were to secretly buy me this and send it to me, I would be in your debt forever.
Because it’s not Autumn yet! There is still a good month or so of *hopefully* decent weather yet, totally enough to justify buying this little gem. And maybe some boob tape.
This starry number reminds me of the chanel jumpsuit Kate Moss wore on her 34th birthday in 2008, don’t you think? This would be a fab buy for the coming festive season, it has New Years written all over it. (Not literally).
Just incase you needed some inspo on how to style your new cape…
