Monday night I was lucky enough to bag an invite to the press launch of The Ivy Brasserie in Norwich – a new restaurant opening on Tuesday 21st August in the city centre.
I have been getting excited about this swanky new restaurant opening for a couple of months now – the social media team have been very clever in teasing us with just enough on Instagram to already make me love the place.
The Ivy have restaurants all over England, mainly in the London area, so it was very exciting to hear that Norwich is joining the lucky cities to boast that we have one. The interior is nothing short of luxe – it is breathtaking when you walk in; the chandeliers are enormous, the floor is glaringly shiny and the atmosphere makes you want to sit up that little bit straighter, but in a good way.
Monday was a busy night full of the loveliest bloggers, food writers, local journalists and many different people all wanting their first glimpse of the new restaurant. We were spoilt with canapes and champagne served by the most attentive staff, you really felt like you were at the opening of somewhere special.
From the small, tasty canapes on offer I can really tell the food is going to be fab – both the sweet and the savoury treats were delicious and I must say I rather more than had my fill of nibbles! The interior is just as delectable with chesterfield style seating everywhere, beautifully laid tables and the most intriguing artwork in rich blues and greens. The art is clever in the way it combines the signature Ivy look and feel but also parts of Norwich we all know and love – reeds, countryside and landmarks such as the cathedral.
I really couldn’t recommend The Ivy Brasserie Norwich enough, if you’re after a relaxed yet elegant meal or somewhere to meet the girls for a drink this is your place.
If you would like to book, the link is here and you can visit from Tuesday 21st onward. I for one am booking in for a meal straight away and cannot wait to go back.
Please let me know if you do visit and what you think – I love to hear people visiting the beautiful Norwich on my recommendation!
